What makes fashion so appealing to me is how creative people are when it comes to dressing up. I find it interesting how people can dress up in different styles of clothes or shoes and make themselves look great. The type of matching clothes that artists or others wear and shoe designs are interesting to me. It makes me want to dress up and take notes from them so I can become a better dresser or stylist. Some types of styles people wear in their hair are dreadlocks, braids, or other types of haircuts. Sometimes people get fancy and creative with their hairstyles. For example, if a person has dreadlocks, they will have fashion if they dye the tips of their hair a certain color, dye one side of their hair a color, or if they dye all of their dreadlocks a crazy color. 

Women can design their makeup to make them look fashionable by blending in colors to make their skin look lighter or darker if they want. I find it cool how women can blend in colors to make themselves look different just by using makeup. Another thing that is interesting to me about fashion is how when people dress up they often add different kinds of accessories to their clothes. When I saw my favorite rapper Lil Uzi Vert add accessories to his clothes like chains or tape, it made me think that this is cool and something I might see myself wearing. 

The types of clothing I find appealing are clothing brands like Bape, True Religion, Louis Vuitton and MCM. These clothing brands are appealing to me because I own some of these clothing brands. They look nice, and these brands are very fashionable and popular. I find these appealing to me because I love shoes, clothes, etc., and one day I wanna become a stylist because I am a person that likes to dress in style.

Virgil Abloh designed an Off-White bag with holes in it that is worth $1,665, and the design of the purse was inspired by a meteor shower (Fisher 2). The dramatic holes and name of the bag come from the “Meteor” idea (Fisher 2). A previous purse from Off-White had words written on it that said, “cash inside”. The purse gave people an idea to try to rob a person with the purse since it had instructions on how to open it and rob it and that is why the phrase “cash inside” is on the purse (Fisher 6). The Off-White Meteor bag has three giant holes in it that are big enough to put your hand through it and carry it (Fisher 2-4).

The Off-White purse is structured well and designed beautifully, but you can not put any objects in it because of the giant holes in it. If I have enough money, I will most likely not see myself buying this purse. The reason why I would not buy it is because it costs too much money for you to not really use it. I think that would be a waste of a lot of money on a bag that I cannot put my items in it. It could not hold money, credit cards, makeup, a brush or your phone. Therefore, this Off-White Meteor bag is something I would not buy because my objects could come up stolen easily or they would fall out the purse and be lost. While the purse is not practical, it is a status symbol of someone who is wealthy. Someone can use it to follow the current style or they cause it to make a fashion statement. The issue here is fashion items that are expensive but not useful.

My name is Myron Warren. I am from Louisiana, and I play football for the University of Texas. I am a guy who is funny, chill, and sometimes stays to himself. I’m very interested in video games like NBA 2k and Call of Duty.

Fashion to me is more like dressing up and looking nice. One of may favorite music artists is big into fashion, so the fashion that he pops out with is interesting. The artist I am talking about is Lil Uzi Vert, and he is a very fashionable guy. I have been listening to him since he first started becoming a rapper, and he is a talented person when it comes to making music and dressing up in nice clothes. I feel like fashion is big in this generation now because a lot of hip hop artists dress up in neat, fashionable clothes, and it makes people like me want to dress nice and have some fashion.

One major thing I want to learn from this class is to be able to dress up nicely and make myself fashionable. I also want to learn the different fashion styles and what to wear to different occasions like a party or to class. This would help me out because maybe one day I would like to present fashion to other people, and I’ll be able to do it after I learn things from this class. Most people use fashion for brands or to promote themselves. My favorite rapper Lil Uzi Vert dresses up in different types of fashion to bring attention to himself or to promote himself.
